Superbook Maryland Launches Alongside Sports Bar At Camden Yards
Maryland sports betting just welcomed another sports betting operator into the state with the rollout of SuperBook Sports Maryland. The state is now home to nine different mobile sportsbooks as legal wagering approaches six months of availability. SuperBook Sports also celebrated its new state with the opening of a bar and restaurant at one of Maryland’s classic home stadiums.
SuperBook Sports Maryland Officially Launches
SuperBook Sports just expanded into a whole new sports betting market, with the online betting app now fully available in the state of Maryland. SuperBook Sports has a partnership with the local Baltimore Orioles as well as a deal FC Cincinnati in the MLS.
Based in Las Vegas, SuperBook Sports got its start in 1986, with the company releasing its mobile sports betting offerings in late 2020. In addition to Maryland, SuperBook Sports is available in Colorado, Arizona, Iowa, Tennessee, Nevada, Ohio, and New Jersey. SuperBook also has a retail sportsbook at the Lodge Casino in Black Hawk, Colorado, the very first state that the online platform became available.

SuperBook Bar & Restaurant Opens At Oriole Park
In addition to SuperBook Sports going live in the state of Maryland, the sports betting platform is opening the doors on its very own sports bar. The SuperBook Bar & Restaurant will open up at Oriole Park at Camden Yards in Baltimore, home of the Baltimore Orioles. The sports bar will feature 38 individual televisions to go with a full LED wall in order to make a unique 360-degree viewing experience. The grand opening of the sports bar will occur at noon on May 12th, 2023.
This comes at an ideal time for Orioles fans, with their favorite team experiencing an excellent season early on. Baltimore sits at 24-13, second in the AL East to the Tampa Bay Rays. Not only is Baltimore second in their division, the team is also second in the American League overall.
However, it won’t be easy for the Orioles to return to the postseason for the first time since 2016, as the team is in a stacked division with the Rays, New York Yankees, Toronto Blue Jays, and Boston Red Sox, with each team currently over .500. The team next hosts the Pittsburgh Pirates on May 12th at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.

Recent Maryland Sports Betting News
The launch of SuperBook is just the latest sports betting news to come out of the state of Maryland. Most recently, PointsBet Sportsbook put an end to its partnership with the University of Maryland Terrapins. While the termination of the deal was only recently revealed, it reportedly occurred at the end of April 2023.
In other Maryland wagering news, Fanatics Sportsbook, a newcomer to the mobile betting scene, is looking to launch in the Old Line State in the middle of June this year. Fanatics already has a presence in the state of Maryland, with a retail sportsbook located at FedEx Field, where the Washington Commanders play home games. This Fanatics retail sportsbook is the first of its kind as a brick-and-mortar sportsbook at a pro football stadium.
