San Francisco 49ers vs. Green Bay Packers Player Props (1/22/22)

On Saturday night, the 49ers and Packers face off in the NFC Divisional Round with a spot in the Conference Championship game on the line. Aaron Rodgers has well-documented struggles against the Niners in the postseason in his career, and he’ll look to exorcise those demons this week. Meanwhile, the 49ers have been one of the hottest teams in the league over the second half of the season and carry tons of talent and momentum into this game. Prop bets can be one of the most fun ways to bet on football, and this game should be no different. You can use the player prop search tool below to find the best odds in your market for this 49ers vs. Packers game.

Deebo Samuel Anytime TD Scorer

If you’ve been following me this season, you know that this has been one of my favorite props to bet on all year, and the sportsbooks seemingly refuse to juice it to the point of no return. Deebo Samuel has been a touchdown machine all year, and he has scored in eight of his last nine games. With a 71% hit rate this season, the odds on this prop should be much closer to 2-to-1 than even money, and I love the value you’re continuing to get here. The Packers’ defense is solid, and they are getting back some key pieces this week, but they aren’t world-beaters on that end either. I’m not sure if anyone on their defense is capable of slowing down Deebo in the passing game, and even if they are, he’s proven very capable on the ground.

Randall Cobb Anytime TD Scorer

Randall Cobb might be my favorite value TD scorer of the entire weekend at around +250. The 49ers’ pass defense is very beatable – they rank 16th in DVOA – and I expect Aaron Rodgers to have a solid game through the air. The Packers will likely be without Marquez Valdes-Scantling this week, leaving Cobb and Allen Lazard to split duties as the WR2 in the offense. Cobb has ten red-zone targets compared to five for Lazard over the last six games in which both Cobb and Lazard have been active. Of course, Davante Adams and Aaron Jones are the top targets in the offense, but I think one or both of Cobb and Lazard scores a touchdown, and I’d rather take the better value in Cobb with the way he’s out-targeted Lazard in the red zone.

A.J. Dillon Over 52.5 Rushing + Receiving Yards

The rise of A.J. Dillon this season has been entertaining to watch, and he’s gradually become an integral part of the Green Bay offense. This season, Dillon is averaging 65.6 rushing + receiving yards despite totaling just 26 yards in each of his first three games this year. Since that point, he’s averaging just over 74 yards from scrimmage per game. He’s been over this set yardage line in nine of his last ten games, and this backfield has become a true timeshare between him and Jones. The Niners have a tough defense, but I expect the touches to be there for Dillon in a positive game script, and he’s a tough player to tackle, especially with Fred Warner limited. Dillon over 1.5 receptions or 8.5 receiving yards is worth a look, as I expect his involvement in the passing game to continue.

Elijah Mitchell Over 18.5 Rushing Attempts

I’ll happily go back to the well with Elijah Mitchell this week after he logged a whopping 27 carries against the Cowboys last week. The 49ers run the ball on 48.42% of plays, the fourth-highest rate in the NFL, and Mitchell has been the bell-cow whenever he’s been healthy. Mitchell has logged 21+ carries in six straight games now as his role in the offense has reached its peak down the stretch. The Packers have an overrated run defense – they rank just 28th in run defense DVOA – and it’s safe to assume the Niners will look to run the ball early and often to keep pressure off Jimmy Garoppolo. You can take a look at Mitchell’s yardage props, but barring an injury or an unexpected massive blowout, Mitchell should reach this number again easily.
