RealResponse Partners With U.S. Integrity On New Tipline For Gambling Issues

U.S. Integrity has just announced a new partnership with RealResponse, with the ultimate goal to combat issues related to betting in the world of athletics. As part of the deal, the two are rolling out a new tipline with the intention of giving individuals in college and professional sports an outlet to discuss these problems.

The partnership comes at a time when responsible gaming is at the forefront, with 2023 generating numerous headlines of safety and responsibility in gambling. Two states have rolled out legal sports betting this year, and both have made responsible gaming a big focus.

RealResponse And U.S. Integrity Strike Partnership And Launch Hotline

U.S. Integrity, a company focused on monitoring the sports betting industry, has just finalized a new partnership with RealResponse that has resulted in a new tipline called “Athlete Alert Powered By RealResponse.” The service, which can be reached by texting 843-USI-TIPS (843-874-7477), is available to athletes, coaches, support staff, and training staff.

Athlete Alert looks to provide those in professional and collegiate athletics with a safe avenue to report any betting-related integrity problems that might effect the outcome of a sporting event. Additionally, individuals can text the number when they’re dealing with issues such as abuse or threats from fans related to gambling. In the press release announcing the partnership, U.S. Integrity CEO Matthew Holt has expressed the tipline’s role in safeguarding those in athletics that might be faced with these outside difficulties, saying, “it is our job to help protect that paradigm.”

RealResponse, which was originally founded in 2015, has built a community of over a million coaches, athletes, and administrators to give them a protected environment to let their voices be heard.

Partnership Signals Growing Responsible Gaming Discussion

The launch of the Athlete Alert Powered By RealResponse tipline shows that the topic of responsible gambling will continue to get attention from the betting community. This year has had no shortage of topics surrounding responsible gaming, starting with the launch of Ohio sports betting on New Year’s Day, with the Ohio Casino Control Commission staying been dedicated to practices such as proper betting terminology in advertising and punishing sports betting operators for violations. Massachusetts sports betting went live in March of 2023 with a similar focus on responsibility.

U.S. Integrity itself was behind one of the biggest betting stories of the past few weeks, with the company recently alerting operators to suspicious wagers placed on an Alabama Crimson Tide college baseball game. The bet was placed at the retail sportsbook located at Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati, and resulted in a halt of all bets on the team in the state of Ohio as well as with FanDuel Sportsbook Online.

An investigation is also now underway into numerous athletes across different types of sports at both Iowa University and Iowa State University related to gambling. In professional sports, a number of different athletes recently received betting-related suspensions, including Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams. With growing concerns over player safety and the integrity of sports as legal sports wagering grows, actions such as releasing the Athlete Alert tipline should have positive impact.
