betPARX Becomes Official Betting Partner of PGA Tour

Memorial Tournament Partnership

Sports betting operator betPARX is making big moves in its efforts to expand its presence in the United States; it has now been named the mobile sports betting sponsor of the annual Memorial Tournament and the official sports betting partner of the PGA Tour.

Memorial Tournament is annually held at the Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio as one of the many events in the PGA Tour. It takes place from June 2 – June 5 and is available for viewing via CBS, Golf Channel, and PGA Tour Live on ESPN+.

This partnership has been made possible upon the recent legalization of sports betting in Ohio. On December 22, 2021 Ohio Governor Mike DeWine signed a bill into law that legalized the practice of sports betting in the state. Per the Ohio sports betting legislation requirements, Memorial Tournament and betPARX will apply for a Type A license that will allow betPARX to take wagers in the state starting during the 2022 tournament, and for all years to come. The majority of other licenses and sports betting launches will begin in 2023 upon state approval and all operators are set to be taxed at 10%.

“We are fortunate to align with such a strong organization that shares in our interest to provide this new opportunity to golf and sports fans throughout the State while maintaining the integrity of the game and the tournament,” said Jack Nicklaus II, General Chairman, the Memorial Tournament. “With the introduction of sports betting and through the betPARX relationship, the Memorial Tournament will continue to generate interest and support through a broader fan base for years to come.”

While the official details of the partnership have not yet been released, betPARX plans to offer branded fan experiences throughout Memorial Tournament that will help elevate the experience for non-sports betting and sports betting golf fans.

PGA Tour Partnership

Upon their entrance into the golf market through the Memorial Tournament, betPARX has parlayed that influence further into becoming the official betting partner of the entire PGA Tour. This will give betPARX rights to the PGA Tour marks, intellectual property, and video highlights.

“betPARX will have the most comprehensive live golf betting capabilities in the market through our partnership with the PGA TOUR. We see golf as critical to our business at a time in which there is a resurgence in participation and viewership,” said Matthew Cullen, senior vice president of sports at betPARX.

betPARX Expanding in The U.S.

This expansion is complemented by the launch of the betPARX Ohio mobile app, aimed at easing the customer experience even more during the Memorial Tournament experience as well as throughout the remainder of the PGA Tour.

They recently launched their casino and sportsbook mobile app in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, with a 100% deposit match up to $750 and a free $20 sports bet for new users. It will offer live in-game betting options, a variety of bet types and markets, risk free promotions, and more on its clean easy-to-use interface. Ohio will be the fourth state that the betPARX platform launches in, with Pennsylvania, NewJersey, and Michigan in the rearview.
