Bet365 And More Pro Teams Apply For Ohio Sports Betting Licenses
Bet365 Applies for Ohio Betting License
The mobile betting market in Ohio is going to be an interesting one as more sports betting operators continue to eye the launch date. Bet365, the name behind the popular Bet365 Sportsbook, filed for a license before a recent application deadline on July 15th. Additionally, it appears that Bet365 will partner with the recently rebranded Cleveland Guardians, a historic Ohio sports franchise looking for a postseason run this season. Bet365 Sportsbook is popular internationally, operating in numerous different countries and continuing to expand as the sports betting industry grows across the world.
More Ohio Sports Teams File Applications
The deadline for applying for a sports betting license in Ohio has come and gone, but not before some more major players could get in on the action. Unsurprisingly, some of the top professional sports teams in the area have filed applications. While the Cincinnati Bengals were the very first professional sports team in the area to file for a sports wagering license, plenty of other franchises got in applications before the recent deadline. Some examples include the Columbus Blue Jackets in the NHL, the Cincinnati Reds in the MLB, and the other Ohio professional football team with the Cleveland Browns.
What Sportsbooks Are Coming To Ohio?
The number of potential Ohio online sports betting platforms is continuing to grow. Now that so many new applications are in, such as from the aforementioned Bet365 Sportsbook, Ohio sports bettors have quite a list of different potential sports betting apps to sign up for on New Year’s Day. Some of the top names on that list include the biggest names in mobile sports betting, such as DraftKings Sportsbook, FanDuel Sportsbook, BetMGM Sportsbook, and Barstool Sportsbook. Some of the possible Ohio mobile sportsbooks have even partnered up with local sports teams, such as Fubo Sportsbook with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Fanatics Sportsbook with the Columbus Blue Jackets, and Bally Bet with the Cleveland Browns. This is only the tip of the iceberg, as over 20 different sports betting operators have now applied for legal betting licenses in the state. This variety makes that launch date of January 1st, 2023 even more exciting for Ohio bettors as they look forward to wagering on the NFL playoffs, NHL and NBA regular seasons, and much more.
