2022 SEC Basketball Tournament Odds, Bracket, Schedule, Predictions

The SEC Tournament schedule has been released, and this year’s bracket is stacked with talent. With four teams ranking within the top 25 nationally, the SEC basketball programs stepped up to the plate and will make for some great basketball. The games will be played over the next week to have one final chance to prove themselves before Selection Sunday takes place next week to decide who will walk into March Madness. The top four teams, Auburn, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Arkansas, secured two-round byes as the rest of the eight teams fight through the divisional games. The tournament starts this Wednesday, March 9th, with the Championship game taking place on Sunday right before selections for March Madness will take place. All teams are headed to Tampa Bay, Florida, for the neutral zone games and can be watched on the SEC Network and ESPN.

2022 SEC Tournament Prediction

The SEC is usually known for their elite football play, but their basketball programs have proven themselves superior this year. The four teams in the Top 25 are for sure favorites to take home the Championship title. The Auburn Tigers are the SEC front runners and are ranked fourth nationally but have fallen to their SEC rivals, the Arkansas Razorbacks, earlier in the season.

The Razorbacks are the team that I would keep an eye out for in the latter half of this bracket. Arkansas is the team to have taken down all other top four teams in the SEC at least once and have proven that they can play a superior level of basketball. Tennessee also has this stat under their belt, which also makes them a heavy contender. Both of these teams have the power to undermine the top-ranked Auburn Tigers and may have the chance to face off in the SEC Championship game.

It’s hard to say who will pull out the win this early on, but the combination of talent on all of these teams will make for some great basketball.
